Beat the Blues – Week #31 Round-up

Hey, Champ!

Here is a round-up of some of the most interesting content I came across in Week #31.

What I am currently listening to:-

Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend: Charles Barkley

Charles Barkley is one of the greatest players to set foot in the NBA – as always, Conan brings out the goofy side of his guest, trading repartees left and right. A fun, light-hearted conversation.

What I am sharing with my close friends:-

Waking up app by Sam Harris

Sam Harris is an author, philosopher, neuroscientist, and podcast host. He is an incredibly smart human with strong opinions on a wide range of topics, including rationality, religion, ethics, free will, meditation, etc.

Waking up is an amazing attempt to remove the shackles around mediation, and make it easy for anyone to pick up the art.

If you are like me, feeling a little overwhelmed by the current events, it is worth a try.

Best part?

Sam Harris’ principle is to not cost ever be in the way of sharing knowledge – you can simply fill out a form and you will get free access to the app for a year.

Here’s an invite link.

What I’ve been up to:-

Episode #12: The Blind-folded Pianist

In the latest episode of The Takeaway Club™, I had a chat with Jerome, a rockstar pianist who plays the instrument blindfolded.

My favorite part of the conversation was when he put on the folds and performed for 5-minutes straight live on the show.

A quote I am pondering

“Don’t let the internet rush you. No one is posting their failures” – Anon

A tweet I am sharing:-

Paul Graham’s chat with his 11-year old.

“Where’s the joke?”

Its genius lies in the backstory. Check out other comments or do a quick Google search 😉

Enjoying Beat the Blues?

Here’s a personalized tweet we created for you to share it with your Twitter community.

Take care,

Krishna | Host at The Takeaway Club™
