Beat the Blues – Week #43 Round-up

Here is a round-up of some of the most interesting content I came across in Week #43 of the year.

What I am currently reading:-

Fooled by Randomness by Nasib Taleb

Nassim Nicholas Taleb is an intellectual iconoclast who has ruffled a few feathers in his decades-long career, has been a professional trader and mathematics professor. In this book, he examines what randomness means in business and in life and why human beings are so prone to mistake dumb luck for consummate skill.

As Naval Ravikant puts, if you can put aside an overflowing pompousness and take to the occasional heavy reads, this is a thought-provoking book.

What I am listening to:-

Joe Rogan Experience #1554 – Kanye West

What do you get, when you put Kanye West and Joe Rogan in the same room for 3 hours to discuss ideas?

“You get what you _____ deserve!”

Here’s George Mack’s view on the interview:

“Listening to Kanye West speak reminds me of this quote: Genius and insanity are next-door neighbors and they borrow each other’s sugar. However, in Kanye’s world, the neighbors have moved in together. And they spend all day in the kitchen cooking up new recipes.”

A Tweet I am sharing:-

Gabbbar on Twitter: “And they said IPL is bad for Cricket. This is priceless”

What I am looking forward to:-

Battle of the Goliaths: Amazon vs. Reliance
