Beat the Blues – Week #34 Round-up

Hey, Champ!

Here is a round-up of some of the most interesting content I came across in Week #34.

What I am currently reading:-

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aureliius was one of the greatest emperors in his era and widely recognized as one of the best Roman Stoic philosophers along with Seneca and Epictetus.

Meditations is a collection of thoughts from his personal journal during wartime – to see the most powerful man in his time be vulnerable, self-reflecting his actions and fighting the same battles like envy, errors of judgement and such like any common man is what makes the book so special.

Though written nearly 2000 years ago, everything he writes is as relevant to the modern times:

Here’s one quote from the book:

“To read carefully, and not to be satisfied with a superficial understanding of a book.”

What I’m listening to:-

Pedro Magriço – Director of Growth at Typeform – From Private Beta to +$10M in ARR

Typeform is one of the most popular B2B companies and this is a conversation on the Growth Hub Podcast where one of its earliest hires breaks down their growth playbook – if you are into SaaS and startups growth, you’ll enjoy this conversation.

Good Reads:-

With a focus on startup growth, came across a lot of interesting reads. Here’s a couple that I really enjoyed:

A quote I am pondering

“The more reversible decisions you make, the fewer perfect decisions you need.” – James Clear
