Beat the Blues – Week #26 Round-up

Here is a round-up of some of the interesting content I came across last week.

Week of Re-Runs:-

What I’m reading again:-

Atomic Habits by James Clear

A book worth revisiting at least twice a year – with schedules all going haywire, and in desperate need to bring back some order, I once again turn to one of the modern-day classics on self-help. If you are looking to pick up a new habit or get rid of some of the nasty ones, this is your magic book.

What I’m listening to:-

Naval Ravikant: The Angel Philosopher [The Knowledge Project Ep. #18]

As part of Mission ‘Restore Order’, I am listening to one of the most profound thinkers in silicon valley talk about his reading habits, mental models, reading in the age of noisy tech, and more.

P.S: This is the first podcast I recommend to anyone who wants to start listening to them.

What I’ve been up to:-

Episode #10 – Shaswath Sekar – Coronavirus 101 with a virologist

I had a super insightful, need of the hour conversation with Shaswath Sekar, who is a virologist working on a vaccine for the novel coronavirus. He breaks down the A to Z of the virus, from its evolution to promising vaccines and everything in between.

In just 12 hours, it is already the most downloaded episode of The Takeaway Club™ so far.

A tweet thread I am sharing:-

Though I seldom share any of my own tweets in this space, I just had to get the word out here; if you do not have the time to listen to a 70-minute conversation, here’s a thread summing up most of what we discussed.

Coronavirus 101: Summarizing the learnings from my chat with a virologist

A quote I am pondering:-

“The thing I love most about the internet is that you truly have zero excuses for not being the most knowledgable about fields that interest you” – Blake Robbins

Take care.
